Keeping a Kitchen Clean
1) Never go to bed with a dirty kitchen – never leave your kitchen dirty, even if you can’t wash the dirty dishes. Clean out after dinner to prevent a mess.
2) Clean your sink – if you have a dishwasher, load it with the dirty dishes and if you don’t – wash them and set them in a rack to dry once hand cleaned. When you finish, clean and sanitize the sink. When it is dry, wipe it down.
3) Spray a kitchen cleaner – take a clean paper or cloth towel and use a kitchen cleaner to wipe down all spots or stuck-on food.
4) Clean the kitchen floor – inspect the kitchen floor for any spots and wipe them up. It should only take a couple of minutes.
5) Sweep the floor - if it is necessary and there are food particles – get a broom and sweep the floor with it.
6) Involve everyone - set rules in your house and make it clear that if they make a mess, it is their responsibility to clean it.
Keeping a Bathroom Clean
1) Clean the mirror – use a glass cleaner, take a paper or cloth towel and wipe it down all spots. It should take only a few minutes and you can avoid heavier cleaning.
2) Clean the sink – do the same thing with the sink. Use the same cloth of the mirror
3) Wipe the toilet seat and rim – at last use the same towel to wipe down the edges of your tub (if you have one), and then the toilet seat and rim. Make sure to do the toilet last.
4) Scrub the toilet bowl – if there is visible ring, scrub the toilet bowl with the toilet brush. This will take only 30 seconds and it will prevent heavier cleaning.
5) Spray on the shower doors or curtains – include this in your daily cleaning routine and it will help radically in cleaning the soap of them. If you leave it like this, it will take more time to clean it afterwards.
