Adding a few drops of vinegar to a few liters of water can be used in stead of wood floor cleaners and may bring great results.
This technique has been used and passed from generations to generations of floor fitters and carpenters. The acid that is contained in vinegar is strong enough to dissolve the top layer of dirt but at the same time safe enough to be used for cleaning wood floors. But please be aware that too much is never good.
Everything should be within reasonable quantity. I have been advised by close friends of mine with over 15 years of experience in fitting wooden floors not to use more than a few caps (60-80 ml) of vinegar dissolved in 5L of water.
